Garage Door Opener and Additional Safety Tips

Some garage door openers that operate by remote control. To open the garage door, the opener sends a special code to the receiver inside the garage. To avoid the possibility of someone stealing your code and breaking into your house, buy an opener that has a “rolling code technology”, which enables the opener to transmit different codes to the receiver every time it is used.

Always practice safety and security around the house. Even if your garage door is securely locked, do the same with the door leading from the garage into your house.

Avoid leaving the remote control for your garage door opener in your car, or just about any spot where the possibility of someone stealing it is high. Remember that such device works just like your house key-to open a door for you or for anyone who gets hold of the key!

If you have children or any young person living in your house, be sure to acquaint them with the dangers of playing with and around the garage doors. Be sure to let them know how to avoid it, too.
